Comrade Vijay Singh of the Indian ML journal Revolutionary Democracy has died

   Below is the statement sent out by Cn. Subramaniam of the editorial board of Revolutionary Democracy. Vijay was a great friend and comrade to those who knew him.

   Comrade Vijay Singh, the founder editor of Revolutionary Democracy journal, passed away on the 17th of April, 2026, after a brief fight against cancer.

   In his long political journey spanning over six decades, Comrade Vijay Singh stood as a steadfast defender of Marxism Leninism and an uncompromising critique of all shades of revisionism. At the same time he remained open to dialogue and principled joint action for democratic causes.Â

   Comrade Vijay Singh was a firm but gentle mentor to all of us. The editorial board and revolutionary democracy organisation salutes comrade Vijay Singh and express solidarity with his grieving family. We are determined to carry forward his legacy.Â
