International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict

   6th of November is declared by the United Nations as the International Day for the Prevention of the Exploitation of the Environment during War and Armed Conflict.

   The destruction of the environment is an inevitable result of the imperialist structure of the world. NATO and other imperialist circles are primarily concerned about securing their own economic profits without worrying about the peoples, the environment and the future of the planet. It is proven that about 60% of wars is "absorbed" by the environment as an ecological and environmental disaster.

   WFDY believes that the only way to put an end to the exploitation and the pollution of the environment is the overthrow of imperialism and the final victory of the peoples. In that direction we will keep fighting the root cause of wars and destruction of the environment, for the construction of the new superior society of peace and social justice.
