The Socialist People's Front: „The Commemoration of the 1941 Coup Supported by Nazis Must Be Cancelled“

   PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT

   22nd of June, 2012, Vilnius

   The coup of June 23, 1941 (correction: not „ a diversion“ as previously was written) in the territory of Lithuania – organized by agents of the Third Reich and staged by Lithuanian Nazi collaborateurs, the Lithuanian Activist Front (LAF), to support the expansion of „Great Germany“ – is commemorated in Lithuania of today as „the uprising of the 23rd of June“.

   „This attempt by the current treasonous, exploitative and parasitical Lithuanian regime to search for heroes where there are none – is a neo-Nazi provocation by the government, the effect of which is to further discredit the Lithuanian state in the eyes of the world, to deliberately present it as a successor of the fascist, anti-semitic and xenophobic traditions from the past and in this way to deepen the isolation of Lithuania.“ - commented the chairman of the SPF Algirdas Paleckis. „The true patriots of the homeland must dissociate themselves from such acts“.

   In the report by the leadership of the LAF of August 6, 1941, after the „uprising“, to their masters in Germany, a representative of the LAF Leonas Prapuolenis (who deserves such last name, which stands for someone who is „lost“) declares the unconditional loyalty of the „insurgents“ to the ideals of the Fuhrer and Nazi Germany. He reports that the „uprising“ had helped the victoriuos march of Germany.

   Additional documents of the Lithuanian Activist Front are soaked in zoological anti-Semitism and hatred for others. „The rut of Israeli harvest-bugs“, „bloodsucker“ which shall be deracinated by the „Aryan Lithuanians“ who will „clean the Lithuanian soil“ - these are only few pieces of the LAF fascist vocabulary. The red thread of the documents, which had been written just before the „uprising“ - is an open promise to the communists and the Jews that after the „uprising“ the death penalty will pending for them. They also baited local collaborators with the promise that „if you heartily serve the Germans, the wealth of Jews shall become yours“. This is exactly what happened. Many would dirty their hands for the looted wealth. As soon as the uprising of the 23rd of June had begun, and as the Germans had not yet entered certain Lithuanian territories, the local Nazi collaborators already started to brutally massacre civilians, Communists, Jews.

   „The SPF demands the immediate cancellation of the commemoration of the coup of the 23rd of June and elimination of this day from the list of the red-letter days“. - emphasized A. Paleckis. „This commemoration attests to the fact that the current bureaucracy which is governing today is plunging us deeper and deeper into the realm of the rehabilitation of Fascism.
