STOP the WAR against the people of Syria

   A new wave of threats and aggression towards Syria was developed the last days by the USA and its allies. Without even investigation and proves, US and its allies are accusing Syria for the use of chemical weapons in Eastern Guta, which seems to be their excuse for new attacks and military interventions. The activity of the US Navy in the Eastern Mediterranean that is intensified along with the new threats, are highly increasing the tensions and the possibilities for a generalized armed clash in the region. Such an incident will target again the lives of innocent people.

   However, we are not referring to a new war, since it is exactly the same war that is taking place against the people of Syria for 7 years now. It is the same war that bloodshed the people of Syria with hundreds of thousands of deaths, hundreds of thousands of injured, hundreds of thousands of missing and millions of refugees. The humanity is experiencing again a drama created by the western imperialism, which is aiming to satisfy its geopolitical plans and to exploit the natural resources of sovereign states. In this approach, they didn’t even hesitate to use terrorism and fascism, since they themselves, at the very beginning armed and funded extremist terrorist organizations, including the “Islamic State”.

   The World Federation of Democratic Youth express again its solidarity with the Syrian people along with the demand for an immediate ceasefire of the hostilities. We call the youth of the world to support peace in Syria and to condemn the foreign interventions in the country.

   The sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria must be respected!
