8th Congress of KCU to Be Held

   Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League on Thursday made public a decision on holding the 8th Congress of the Korean Children's Union (KCU).

   According to the decision, the 8th KCU Congress is to be held here early in June Juche 106 (2017).

   The Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League clarified that the forthcoming congress would mark an important occasion in strengthening the KCU into a glorious union of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and a children's organization of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in line with the requirements of the Korean revolution and the development of the Juche-based children's movement and training all the KCU members to be reliable reserves for the building of a socialist power and true successors to the youth league.
