Joint Art Performance of Moranbong Band and State Merited Chorus Given in Presence of Kim Jong Un

   Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- A joint art performance was given with splendor by the Moranbong Band and the State Merited Chorus here on Wednesday in honor of the participants in the First Conference of Chairpersons of the Primary Committees of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

   When Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un of the WPK, state and army appeared in the auditorium, all the performers and the participants of the conference broke into cheers of "hurrah!", extending the greatest honor and deepest thanks to him.

   He waved back to the participants in the conference.

   The artistes of the Moranbong Band and the Merited State Chorus depicted the revolutionary songs, march songs of the Mallima era, in a new and peculiar way.

   The performance began with orchestral music and male chorus "Forever with the Leader and the Party". Put on the stage were instrumental music and series of songs "You Are Mother", female chorus "Are We Living in Those Days?" kayagum solo "Song of Big Fish Haul" and male solo and female panchang "We Sing of the Party".

   The performers highly praised with artistic canvas the feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

   Also put on the stage were numbers powerfully demonstrating the faith and will of the army and people of the DPRK to win the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche, remaining loyal to the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

   The performance was acclaimed by the audience.

   Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un congratulated the performers on their successful representation and expressed expectation and belief that the participants in the conference would discharge their mission and duty as the frontline political officials.

   Among the audience were Vice Marshal of the Korean People's Army (KPA) Hwang Pyong So, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and director of the KPA General Political Bureau; Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK; Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Ri Su Yong, Kim Phyong Hae, Ri Man Gon, O Su Yong, Kwak Pom Gi and Kim Yong Chol, members of the Political Bureau and vice-chairmen of the C.C., WPK.
