Scorched-grain Tea, Traditional Drink

   Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- Scorched-grain tea is one of drinks the Korean people have taken after meals from olden times.

   It comes to be an everyday drink with peculiar taste and high nutritive value.

   Its making-method is very easy, but varies a little with the locality.

   There are many old Korean proverbs for the tea like "Making an order for scorched-grain tea in barley field" and "Asking for scorched-grain tea at the well side".

   The tea and its making-method were recently listed as one of national intangible heritages in the DPRK.
