An Urgent Information

   A number of events has taken place for recent 2 days (April, 27-28) which has turned into a huge provocation against VRY(LR) militants. As soon as its purposes and forces who back it are not still quite clear I will give the facts as a direct participant of all the events but their development and evaluation as I hope comes very soon.

   Even in the morning of April, 27 near 7.00 a.m. the Organized Crime Department officers came to several militants and offered to talk about coming May Day. And VRY(LR) militant Vyacheslav Karagodin who lives in Pushkino was taken by them in unknown direction and his fate was unknown for almost 2 days. On April, 27, near 23.00 p.m. our comrade, former political prisoner Igor Fedorovich and several more comrades appeared to be blocked at the former political prisoner Larisa Romanova’s flat. I managed to count 8 policemen near the entrance into her house, it is impossible to say how many were inside. A car with civil numbers with officers in civic clothers was guarding near her windows at the other side of the house. As we found later V.Karagodin detained almost a day before was kept in the same car.

   On April, 28, near 2.00 a.m. the officers who had been guarding near the entrance and inside have left and I succeeded to get inside the entrance and L.Romanova’s flat. A decision was taken to leave but as it came out we have underestimated our enemy. When Larisa went out from the entrance to catch a taxi two unknown men ran out from the same entrance and broke into a run in the direction of Kashirskoe highway which is the main road from Orekhovo-Borisovo district to downtown. But Igor and I went by taxi in the opposite direction to the Lublino bridge. And we haven’t immediately noticed the car following us...

   3.30 a.m., Brateevo crossing... Two cars block us sharply from left and right at the crossroad (one of them is alraedy “familiar” which was standing behing the window and sitting in it Vyacheslav becomes one more witness of the detainment). The doors swing open, the torch light in the face, papers at the nose... “Police! Everybody to the ground! Hands on your head!” Having risen I see Igor, he is kept pressed down to the car with his arms screwed behind his back... “Maria Anatolievna, we are the Organized Crime Department officers whom you dislike so much”.

   We spent near 1,5 hours in the district police department “Zyablikovo” situated at the same crossroad while Igor’s personal effects were examined. Then we were taken to the district police department “Northern Orekhovo-Borisovo”, Igor was taken inside and I was liberated after service a citation. Here I learnt that Igor Fedorovich had been detained as a suspect on an episode when an “unknown person” had shot at a woman in my house on December, 31, 2005 (4 months ago!).

   I managed to get inside the police department near 9.00 a.m., together with Igor’s mother. In the afternoon there appeared to be two episodes already, the accusation against our comrade was growing as a snowball. It is clear there is no coincidence that law-enforcement authorities detained him so loudly for an old and insignificant episode – evidently, an “order from above” has come to neutralize a “dangerous red extremist”...

   Igor was kept in the police department “Northern Orekhovo-Borisovo” until 17.00 p.m., then he was taken to the Main police department of Moscow (Petrovka, 38). We know that Igor is charged on the article 213 part 1 of the Criminal Code of RF “Hooliganism”. The question of measure of restrained will be solved tomorrow (I am writing this late at night), the information will be provided later. Unfortunately the “order” character of the case doesn’t leave us hopes and doubts in the tomorrow result.
